Serene pond scene painted at Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park. The day this was taken, I was feeling under some pretty immense pressure, but the scene I got to enjoy as I painted it brought me a calm I welcomed with open arms. Painting this scene also forced me to slow down and focus which forced me to appreciate finer things and details rather than let a negative energy follow me.

Eggy enjoyed it thoroughly as a result of her getting to enjoy the same calm I got from making it.

If you look closely you can see all the native plants by the pond, notably the ironweed, jewelweed, black-eyed Susans, and cattails.
